Check-In and Check-Out Time

Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am.

Guarantee Policy

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. A $100 security deposit will be held from the guest’s CC upon check in for incidentals.

Cancellation / Modification Policy

Cancellations and changes policies depend on the hotel rate. Please check our rate policy for more information.


We offer parking arrangements with a garage just across the street at $40/per day.

Early Departure Policy

Early departures will be charged $50. 

Pet Policy

Pet fee is $25/night. A maximum of 2 well-behaved pets are allowed per room with a total limit of 40lbs. Only dogs are allowed. No other pets are permitted and they can’t be left alone in the room. 


Enjoy complimentary baked goods served daily in our front parlor, main floor, from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. We also offer Afternoon Tea and fresh baked Cookies in our lobby Lounge between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

Concierge Hours

Our lobby is open every day from 7am to 11pm. 

Occupancy and Local Tax

Transient Occupancy Tax of 16.445% is charged on the room rate only.

Guest Identification Required

Guests will be required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the guest name on the reservation and credit card provided at check-in. If you are using a company or other party’s credit card, an authorization form is required and must be on file at time of check-in.


Our hotel, built in 1913, is listed as a Contributing Building in the Lower Nob Hill Apartment Hotel District, a National Register of Historic Places. However, a recent evaluation survey by a Certified Access Specialist (CAS) determined that it is not technically feasible to remove the front steps or provide an accessible alternative for wheelchair users. We regret that we cannot serve you.


We are 100% smoke-free property. Smoking is not allowed in any guest-room, deck, balcony or public areas. If smoking occurs, there will be a $250 cleaning fee per night charged to your credit card.

Lost Keys Policy

Lost keys subject to $35 replacement fee. Report promptly to front desk for security.


Open flamed candles are not allowed. Please do not light a candle in your guest room. If lit, you will be liable for the entire amount of damage. Safe flame-free candles are available at the front desk should you wish to have candles lit ambiance in your room.


Our housekeeping staff will enter daily for stay over guests (more than one night) to freshen bathrooms, empty trash cans and make the bed. If the “Do Not Disturb” sign is on the door, the housekeeping staff will not enter the room. If any additional amenities are needed, please contact the front desk.
